Windows Remote Control
General Information
The second iteration of Remote Control WS (henceforth referred to as RC WS) released with EPM 2018.3 has many features that were not in the previous release. This document will go over the additions, fixes, and requirements for RC WS. The updated version offers ease of use, reliability, and security.
Console and Web Console Access
- Located in right-click menu of device as "Remote Control WS"
- Executes RCViewer by default
- Can be changed to open browser (requires Google Chrome as the default browser)
- Attempts connection in the following order (all methods)
- Tunnel (if configured)
- Direct: FQDN
- Direct: shortname (hostname)
- Direct: IP Address
Stand Alone Access
- RCViewer.exe and RCViewer.dmgcan be copied and executed from any location*
- Files located in %LDMS_HOME%\remotecontrol\RCViewer
- Access via browser HTTPS://Corename/RemoteControl
- Google Chrome must be installed as the default browser.
- Client port for direct connections 44343
- Core port 443
Tunnel Access
- Configured Remote Control Tunnel required
- EPM 2018.3 Remote Control Tunnel
- Ports required 44344, 44345, and 44346
RC WS Features
