Problem
Failed to Authorize
Cause
Too many certificates on the core server
Too many certificates on the client machine
Solution
- On the core server, open C:\Program Files\LANDesk\Shared Files\keys\protect.ini in notepad.
- Take the value of "Hash=" and find the .0 file with that name in the C:\Program Files\LANDesk\Shared Files\keys\ folder.
- Open that .0 file in notepad and note the "Key=" value.
- Create a new folder in the Keys directory called "Old Certs".
- Move all .0, .key, .cer, and .crt files that don't match either "Hash=" or "Key=" in the above steps from Keys to Old Certs.
On the client machine, remove any .0 files that don't match the "Hash=" value from C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\Shared Files\cbaroot\certs
If this resolves the issue, be sure to uncheck the problem certs from your client connectivity settings and delete those certs from C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\ldlogon to prevent the issue from coming back when you reinstall the agent.
